Here at Karikari Estate, we are proud to be part of one of the most progressive wine regions in New Zealand, experimenting with different grapes, terroir and methods, we therefore have decided to use our Cellar Door, restaurant and resort as a way to promote, not only our beautiful wines but also the beautiful, well-crafted wines of our neighbors.

Our winery team have chosen our boutique selection to give people an experience of the diverse varietals and styles of wines that the Northland region can produce, essentially offering our guests a wine tour from our cellar door.

$10 Tasting Fee to try up to 5 wines (Fee waived if you purchase a bottle)

Bookings required for groups of more than 10 people.

WINE FLIGHTS            

For only $15 enjoy Calypso Sauvignon Blanc, Calypso Rose, Calypso Merlot and Karikari Estate Pinotage served in a wooden paddle at your table.

Wine Tour at Karikari Estate

60 minutes (2-10 people)

Minimum of 2 people.

2 people $70, more than 2 people $30 per person

Morning tour starts at 10am

Afternoon tour starts at 4pm (season dependent, may be earlier or later)

This includes:

  • Visit of the Winery with an explanation about the wine making process and history of the winery

  • Cellar Door Wine Tasting

  • Opportunity to try new vintage wines, directly from the barrel.

  • Small Cheese pairing board
